IGF-1 LR-3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is a synthetic analog of human insulin-like Growth Factor-1 engineered with two structural modifications compared to native IGF-1: an arginine substitution at position 3 (ARG3) and a 13-amino acid N-terminal extension. These modifications reduce binding affinity to insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) and extend the peptide’s half-life compared to native IGF-1.
